As per the Maharashtra government’s notification (CLICK HERE), all renewable energy projects can resume after 20th April 2020. (check point 16, sub point 2)

A great relief has come to the renewable energy industry after the Maharashtra government and the central government has announced that all renewable energy projects can be resumed post 20th April 2020. All kinds of goods can also be transported from one location to another via a commercial vehicle.

It is also said by the government that in the hotspot areas (hotspots as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare )where the lockdown is very strict (based on the +ve covid19 cases), this relaxation will not be applicable. In all the areas away from the Municipal corporation limits, renewable energy projects can smoothly be operated. We at Chirayu Power pvt. ltd. is also planning to start our operations post this date. Social distancing, face mask, personal sanitizing, etc should be followed amid this relaxation.

Still, there are many questions that need to be addressed:

How to transport labors from one place to another?
Maximum limit of staff that are allowed per project?
Does any special license will be required for resuming the operation? If yes, what will be its procedure?
Any specific work timing?
We are sure that more clarification will be given by the Government of India (or the state ministry) on this. We should take extra care so that we can protect our self and our team amid this grave situation. Till then, stay tuned for more updates and as they say “Stay home and stay safe”.
