Project Overview:

CNS Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in Solapur, sought to reduce energy costs and enhance sustainability by transitioning to solar power. Given the hospital’s size and the critical nature of its operations, the project required advanced solutions to ensure long-term benefits, system reliability, and optimal energy production.

Chirayu Power Pvt. Ltd., with our extensive experience and proven track record in the solar industry, was selected to lead this ambitious project. We not only leveraged our technical expertise but also incorporated innovative design elements to integrate solar energy seamlessly into the hospital infrastructure.

This project presented several challenges, including installing solar panels 30 feet above the parking shed and ensuring the system could withstand winds up to 150 km/h. With careful planning and precise engineering, Chirayu Power delivered a system that exceeded the hospital's energy needs while offering additional features for hospital visitors' comfort.

Total Installed Capacity: 250 kW

  • Panels:
    • Jinko 570 Wp Mono + PERC + Half-Cut Cells + Bifacial N-Type Panels
      • Total Panels: 400 Nos
  • Inverters:
    • SolarEdge 100 kVA x 1 Nos
    • SolarEdge 66 kVA x 1 Nos
    • SolarEdge 33 kVA x 1 Nos
  • Annual Generation: 3.50 Lakh Units
  • Annual Savings: ₹59.50 Lakh

Key Features of the Solar Solution

1. 570 Wp Jinko Bifacial N-Type Solar Panels

The system uses high-efficiency Jinko bifacial panels designed to capture sunlight from both sides, maximizing energy generation and improving performance over traditional mono-facial panels.

2. SolarEdge Inverters: 100 kVA, 66 kVA & 33 kVA

      • SolarEdge optimization inverters ensure advanced power management and efficiency, with individual panel-level monitoring, providing reliability and performance.

3. High-Quality Structural Design for Durability

    • The system utilizes a 1.5 by 3-inch truss frame, with 2 by 2-inch inner trusses and rafters, ensuring stability and longevity. The system is designed to withstand winds up to 150 km/h, ideal for high-wind areas.

4. South-Tilted High-Rise Structure (Up to 31 ft)

    • The solar panels are installed using south-tilted high-rise mounting structures. Elevated 31 feet above the ground, these structures optimize solar energy capture by maximizing sunlight exposure.

5. Ground + RCC Rooftop Combination

    • The solar panels are mounted using a combination of ground and RCC rooftop structures, ensuring installation flexibility and maximizing energy production given the hospital’s spatial constraints.

6. Real-Time Monitoring System

    • The system features a real-time monitoring platform, allowing hospital management to track energy generation and ensure optimal system performance.

7. Annual Generation: 3.50 Lakh Units

    • The system generates 3.50 Lakh units annually, significantly reducing dependence on grid power and contributing to long-term cost savings for the hospital.

8. Annual Savings: ₹59.50 Lakhs

    • The annual energy savings of ₹59.50 Lakhs allow the hospital to reinvest the savings into improving healthcare infrastructure and operations.

9. Net Metering Design
The system is designed as a net metering installation, meaning the electricity generated is used directly by the hospital, reducing reliance on grid power while enabling energy export to the grid when required.

Performance and Benefits

  • Annual Energy Generation:
The 250 kW solar system generates 3.50 lakh units of electricity annually, which results in significant cost savings.
  • Annual Savings:
The project provides ₹59.50 Lakh in savings per year, making it an economically viable investment for the hospital.
  • Environmental Impact:
The solar system helps offset 3,750+ trees worth of carbon emissions, contributing to a greener future for the hospital.
