Nagpur Pyrolusite Pvt. Ltd., along with its parent company Sanjay Industries, is a leading manufacturer of Manganese Dioxide, Granulated Manganese Dioxide, and Manganese Oxide. Operating from Nagpur, the company requires significant electrical energy to maintain high-volume production. To reduce energy costs and adopt a sustainable path, they partnered with Chirayu Power Pvt. Ltd. to implement a comprehensive solar power solution.
Project Overview
The total capacity of 2.1 MW was executed in two phases:
Phase 1:
Installed Capacity: 1102 kW
Panels Used: Jinko Solar 545 Wp - 2022 Panels
Mounting Type: Ground-mounted bifacial setup
Phase 2:
Installed Capacity: 998 kW
Panels Used: Jinko Solar 580 Wp – 1,721 Panels

Mounting Structure & Design
Type: Ground-mounted using heavy-duty galvanized and galvalume materials
Design: Landscape orientation to optimize the bifacial effect for N-type modules
Wind Load Resistance: Engineered to withstand speeds up to 150 km/h

Civil footing for both mounting structures and inverter sheds
Custom-designed inverter protection shades on ground
Earthing & Lightning Protection
Earthing System:
Pure copper bonded rods with 25 kg DISCOM-approved earthing powder
Complete with earthing chambers, as per IEEE standards
Lightning Arrestors:
CU Type LA with hot-dip galvanized strip earthing and insulators
